Choosing a strong password is an important part of protecting your access to University resources. Technology Services requires you to create a NetID password that meets the following criteria:
Passwords must:
• Be a minimum of eight (8) characters in length.
• Contain at least one (1) character from three (3) of the following categories:
o Uppercase letter (A-Z)
o Lowercase letter (a-z)
o Digit (0-9)
o Special character (~`!@#$%^&*()+=_-{}[]\|:;”’?/<>,.)
• Be changed every 180 days.
Passwords must not:
• Contain your name, NetID, email address, first, middle or last name.
• Be the same as your last five passwords.
